_739 Mapping Place Names and Stories of North Uist "In the recent community survey by the Aire Air Sunnd project, over 90% of respondents were concerned about mapping the place names of North Uist and the stories connected to these before they were lost and forgotten. The project has made a start in this direction by collecting and digitising names, archiving images, and linking the content in an on-line map. In this session there will be the chance to:\r\n1. Explore the place names of North Uist\r\n2. Find out how to contribute further to the CEUT digital map of North Uist place names\r\nWith the imminent threats of climate change to the island and the importance of conserving North Uist Gaelic for the community in North Uist, collecting place names and their stories is vital.
